Banter

We came here as a treat for breakfast after camping - so glad we did! The food was incredible (more on that later), the Banter crew was super nice, and the decor brought the best vibes. I can’t speak to the drinks because I just rehydrated after hiking with lots of water . Okay, back to the food. Umm best avocado toast I’ve ever had. It was so flavorful, textures were perfect, visually beautiful - and I felt so healthy eating it with all of the veggies. I added a poached egg and 10/10 recommend. We will definitely be back whenever we’re in Bellingham.

A fun and intimate respite from the usual fare. Great coffee. Delicious fresh menu. Wonderful cocktails and mocktails. The service is human and people are authentic. Stop in. The line moves fast and the wait is always worth it.

It was my first time trying lavender green tea—tasted a bit unusual, but still okay. The bread was really delicious, the service was good, and the prices were reasonable

It was our first time & I’m really happy we got there early. You order at the counter, they give you a number & then you go find a seat, lucky for us there were a couple available. The Ube London Fog was excellent & my fiancé enjoyed his cold brew. Took a little while to get our food but it was worth the wait. It got really busy while we were waiting.

Amazing little stop on my way home from Vancouver. Busy spot! But the servers were kind and aware. Made sure we felt seen even during our wait to order. The food was absolutely delicious. Came out quickly despite being busy, very flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. The fresh dill and free sauce in the chef special was to die for. And how the burrito was layered with the egg and the added pickled peppers are not to be missed. The coffee was also very balanced and well prepared. Great job!

Even though it’s a little on the pricier side, it’s worth every penny. The flavours the presentation bang on. I would say though they could improve their coffee, it doesn’t match the food quality. This was our 2nd time at this cafe and first time trying brunch. Both this times thought coffee wasn’t the best. Almost didn’t come here for brunch as another restaurant we wanted to go to had a wait. I am glad we came we were solely basing it on its coffee taste. Do your self a favour and go here for brunch. We will be back.

I’ve stopped in here a couple of times between client appointments. Really cute local cafe downtown. Very chill vibes, fantastic pastries. Prices are on the high end, but everything I’ve had is delicious. And the staff is super friendly. Will continue to visit when I’m in town.

If you want breakfast or lunch in Bellingham, this is the place! Amazing food, coffee, and atmosphere. Banter is warm, welcoming, and the staff genuinely seem to love being there. You can feel the good vibes as soon as you walk in. If I could give Banter more than 5 stars, I would. The avocado toast is killer, the bacon is worth getting every. single. time. The coffee is top tier, plus it has one of the best breakfast burritos in the PNW
